Name a rare you want to open in Modern Horizons draft.

There's a good chance Matt Sikkink Johnson had it in his Top 8 deck. Deep Forest Hermit, Crashing Footfalls, Hexdrinker, and Serra, the Benevolent - Matt had it all. The first three showed up in game one of the finals against Yoshihiko Ikawa. When Serra showed up game two, Ikawa scooped up his cards.

Matt's victory capped a three day spring to the finish line. With two days of sealed play, players had twice as many chances to qualify for Day Two (on Sunday) to draft. 1,006 players tried on Friday and 1,184 tested their mettle on Saturday. An astonishing 42 managed to make Day Two twice. All told, over 350 players drafted on Saturday.

There's more Modern Horizons actions coming your way. Next week MagicFest Dallas-Fort Worth will feature the set in a Modern Grand Prix main event and ChannelFireball will be bringing you video coverage. See you then!
